The SOUL C8 Corvette valved exhaust delivers a significant sound improvement over the factory exhaust for cars not optioned with the bi-modal NPP exhaust. Through a bespoke chambered X-pipe muffler, valves open mode elicits an aggressive V8 rumble for an invigorating driving experience, while valves closed mode calms the volume for refined cruising with just enough presence to be appreciated. The system can be remote-controlled or programmed with factory HomeLink controls, and ships with a Mishimoto catch can included. Designed and built in-house at SOUL’s Willow Grove, PA facility.

Research and Development

SOUL’s development goals were to improve upon the factory design, increase cabin presence and V8 character in both valve modes, heighten aggressiveness with valves open while remaining street-usable, and deliver an effective delta between the two modes for two genuinely distinct experiences, even on cars not fitted from the factory with valve control. With valves closed, exhaust routes through a bespoke SOUL chambered muffler with an internal X-pipe, crafted to match SOUL’s drone-fighting standard proven in the Porsche world. A more traditional perforated core design was tested and rejected; the carefully engineered chambers of the final muffler deliver a more aggressive sound on and off throttle with fewer undesirable tones. With valves open, exhaust exits freely through 3-inch piping for a thunderous V8 roar, while secondary flow through the muffler and X-pipe reduces rasp for a higher-pitched, more refined open-valve character. The result: mild and wild, now available even on non-NPP cars.

PTP Turbo Blanket Heat Shielding

Due to the close proximity of the exhaust to sensitive components and plastic, heat shielding is essential. SOUL has partnered with PTP Turbo Blankets, hand-crafted in North America from premium heat-resistant materials, to produce a bespoke, form-fitting solution that protects surrounding components from radiant heat.

Construction

Each component is built in-house from mandrel-bent 0.060-inch wall T304L stainless steel tubing with laser-cut brackets and water-jet-cut flanges. Welds are back-purged for proper penetration and maximum durability. 4-inch double-wall stainless steel tips are available in several finishes and feature depth adjustment for precise fitment.

Every SOUL C8 Corvette valved exhaust component is built and fixture-tested in a thick-gauge aluminum fixture, which prevents warping, to ensure precise fitment. Every piece is rigorously quality-checked before shipping and foam-packed for safe delivery.

AFM Valve Deletes

AFM valve deletes are included for the factory exhaust valves, which restrict flow in four-cylinder mode. Removing them with the included deletes produces no check engine light.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
