An AZ80 magnesium face combined with a DYMAG carbon fiber barrel in a 2-piece format brings total weight down approximately 30% compared to forged aluminum by volume, and that difference shows up in acceleration, handling response, and how the car communicates through the chassis on platforms built to be sensitive to those inputs. AZ80 magnesium carries 12% greater specific strength than aluminum with high dampening and shock absorption capacity, keeping the wheel structurally sound and the ride composed through the kind of sustained hard use supercars and hypercars are designed around.

DYMAG Weight Comparison

• DYMAG engineers from the limits of acceleration, braking, and handling outward, and the carbon fiber barrels in the MgCarbon+ Series are built from that starting point. Up to 40% lighter than cast aluminum and 20% lighter than forged aluminum, the weight advantage translates into how the car feels and responds under hard driving. Every DYMAG barrel satisfies TÜV, SAE, JWL, and VIA certification requirements, with FEA used to sharpen the structural design in parallel with physical validation rather than as a substitute for it.

Hardware Options

• All assembly hardware on the MgCarbon+ 2-piece is fully exposed titanium. Stainless steel, which shows up on most other applications, isn’t used here. The shift to titanium carries an aesthetic element, but on a wheel built specifically around mass reduction, it’s primarily a weight decision, and on a build where every gram at the wheel is deliberate, that context matters.

• Brixton’s Text and Groove Fill program gives buyers a way to use color to separate specific design details from the base finish. Epoxy accents can be placed on the Brixton logo, wheel name, series name, and design-specific grooves or spokes, with up to 3 fill locations per wheel depending on the design. Standard colors run Black, Blue, Green, Grey, Orange, Purple, Red, White, and Yellow, with all other colors available on request.

There are no “off the shelf” Brixton wheels and as such, a lead time of a few weeks is to be expected once your spec has been finalized.
