Development and Testing

• SOUL Performance explains that the factory headers are engineered to be inexpensive and simple to produce while meeting restrictive emissions requirements, which can limit performance. The OEM setup typically relies on pressed flanges, flattened primary tubing, generic collectors, and large catalytic converters, reducing both sound and output. By refining the transition from the flange to the primaries, using smooth-radius large-diameter bends, and incorporating a performance-oriented collector with merge spikes, SOUL Performance achieves improved flow, quicker response, and stronger performance, paired with a more aggressive exhaust note to match.

Construction

• SOUL Performance assembles each set in-house in the USA from mandrel-bent, thick-wall 0.065″ T304L stainless steel. Back-purged TIG welding using ARCAL Prime argon gas is used to ensure proper weld penetration and long-term durability, especially for track use. Cast head flanges provide a smooth transition from the exhaust ports into the runners, while water-jet cut exhaust flanges are produced to ISO 9001:2015 standards with +/- 0.003-inch tolerances for exceptional precision. During fabrication, SOUL Performance uses thick-gauge aluminum fixtures that act as heat sinks during welding and help prevent warping in both the headers and the fixtures, supporting consistent, precise fitment.

Bolt On and Go

• Each SOUL Performance product is test-fit in a dedicated fixture to verify precise fitment, then foam packed to help ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Detailed installation instructions are included for a straightforward install that most DIY enthusiasts can complete. New high-grade hardware is provided for the header-to-exhaust flanges.
