SOUL Performance Competition Headers for 981 Porsche Boxster Spyder & Cayman GT4

The SOUL Performance Products Competition Headers for the Porsche 981 GT4, Boxster Spyder, and Clubsport are designed to replace the heavy, restrictive factory manifolds with a free-flowing, track-focused header set that improves engine response, reduces operating temperatures, and amplifies the high-strung flat-six character the GT4 is known for. Built as a dedicated 981 application with properly sized 2-inch runners and optimized collectors, these headers are engineered to extract maximum power from the 3.8L platform, with SOUL noting power gains of over 20 whp. Third-party Dyno Dynamics testing showed gains of 40whp when paired with a tune, with 20 whp attributed to the Competition Headers alone after the tune was applied. Constructed from T304L stainless steel, the design incorporates port-matched flanges, smooth-radius primary tubing, and flow-optimized collectors to maximize exhaust efficiency. Each set is rigorously quality-checked, fixture-tested for precise fitment, foam packed for shipping, and supplied with thorough installation instructions for a direct bolt-on installation

Development

• SOUL Performance developed a dedicated application for the 981 platform, focusing on properly sizing the 2-inch runners and collectors to extract maximum power from the 3.8L engine. Appropriately sized catalytic converters were selected to support the airflow demands of sustained high-RPM operation, exactly where the GT4 thrives without compromising durability. In third-party Dyno Dynamics testing, gains of 30whp were recorded when paired with a tune, with an additional 12 whp attributed to the Street Headers alone after the tune was applied.

Construction
