The SOUL Performance Products Competition Package for the Porsche 987.2 Cayman and Boxster pairs SOUL Competition Headers with the SOUL Valved Exhaust System to deliver the best possible response and a dramatic change in sound for a car that sees both street and track use. With the valves closed, the tone stays comfortable and commuter-friendly with no worries about excessive volume or droning, while opening the valves unlocks a straight-through flow path that lets the flat-six come alive with an aggressive, race-inspired character. Developed as a dedicated 987.2 application, the package focuses on properly sized 2-inch runners and optimized collectors to extract maximum power from the 3.4L while still producing strong gains on the 2.9L, with Dynojet-tested peak gains of 9 whp and 10 ft-lbs at 4,100rpm on a Cayman S. Built from T304L stainless steel throughout, it features port-matched flanges, smooth-radius primary tubing, mandrel-bent exhaust tubing, and fortified muffler casings for long-term durability.

Development

SOUL Performance developed a dedicated application for the 987.2 platform, carefully sizing the 2-inch runners and collectors to extract maximum power from the 3.4L engine while still delivering strong gains on the 2.9L. During Dynojet testing on SOUL’s project Cayman S with PDK, peak gains of 9whp and 10ft-lbs of torque were recorded at 4,100rpm. This combination remains the setup of choice on SOUL’s Project Cayman, offering a refined, commuter-friendly experience with the valves closed and an exciting, aggressive character when opened on demand.

Construction

SOUL Performance’s precision-engineered headers are meticulously fabricated from T304L stainless steel and built around proven design elements to maximize power gains. Port-matched flanges, smooth-radius primary tubing, and flow-optimized collectors work together to improve exhaust efficiency. Every set is rigorously quality-checked prior to shipping. Each system is constructed from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel tubing and features mufflers with fortified casings for long-term durability.

Every exhaust system undergoes rigorous quality checks to ensure the highest standards are met. Additionally, each exhaust is meticulously tested in a fixture to guarantee precise fitment, providing a seamless installation experience. To safeguard against any damage during transportation, each exhaust is carefully foam packed, ensuring it arrives in impeccable condition.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less.
