How much power does the VF ECU Software for Lamborghini Aventador add?

VF Engineering quotes 730 hp and 530 lb-ft from its ECU Software for Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, S and SV models, a torque gain of 21 lb-ft over the 509 lb-ft of the original Aventador. The Aventador S and SV start from slightly higher factory power ratings.

Does one calibration really cover the LP700-4, S and SV?

Yes. VF Engineering lists a single calibration for the Aventador LP700-4, the Aventador S and the Aventador SV, which share the 6.5 liter V12. The SVJ and Ultimae carry a further developed version of the engine and take their own separate VF calibration.

How is the Aventador software installed?

VF Engineering installs the calibration at its Anaheim facility in Southern California or through an authorized VF dealer. Bulletproof Automotive coordinates the appointment with VF once the order is placed, and no hardware is changed on the engine or the gearbox.

Will the calibration change the character of the V12?

No. The engine keeps its naturally aspirated character and its factory hardware. VF Engineering works on throttle mapping, ignition and fueling, so the change shows as quicker response and a cleaner build toward the limiter rather than a different engine.

Does the software work with the factory exhaust?

Yes. The calibration is written for the Aventador on its factory hardware, the standard exhaust included, and needs no supporting parts to run. Owners with an aftermarket exhaust already fitted can ask Bulletproof Automotive to confirm with VF Engineering before ordering.

Description

VF Engineering Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, S and SV

VF Engineering’s Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, S and SV covers the first decade of the car, from the 2011 launch model through the Aventador S and the lighter, harder SV. All three use the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 mounted behind the cabin, and VF quotes 730 hp and 530 lb-ft with the calibration installed, a torque figure 21 lb-ft above the 509 lb-ft Lamborghini quotes for the original car. The change is felt in throttle response and in the way the V12 builds toward its limiter. It is the right choice for an owner who prizes the car as a naturally aspirated V12 and wants it sharpened, not reinvented.

About VF Engineering

VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Every calibration is developed in house on the company’s own Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, ECU boards are handled in a dedicated clean room, and new parts start in an R&D room equipped with a rapid prototyper. VF reports that more than 93 percent of its supercharger systems are still running after years of hard use, many on their second or third owner, and its engineers carry the testing discipline of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series into every road calibration.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
