These replacement side skirts are AutoTecknic’s newly released dry carbon fiber product for the G82/G83 M4. Designed to mount directly onto the lower factory mounting location, they ensure a fast and straightforward installation. Manufactured using 100% genuine 3K Twill-Weave (2X2) Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber with AutoTecknic’s signature autoclave technology, these side skirts are then finished with multiple coatings of high-gloss UV-resistant clear coat. Adhering to the weight-saving principles of motorsport ideals, AutoTecknic utilizes the autoclave vacuum forming process to produce these side skirts with superior strength and fitment. Dry carbon, the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products, is known for its production process. Formed using a “pre-preg” or impregnated piece of carbon materials, it is placed into a mold and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to cure properly. This method minimizes waste and creates a lighter version of carbon than the “wet” method. The autoclave vacuuming process ensures fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets in the carbon.
