Do the Fabspeed Sport Cats for C8 Chevrolet Corvette fit every C8?

No. The Sport Cats fit the 6.2L LT2 engine in the C8 Corvette Stingray from 2020 onward. The Z06 uses the 5.5L LT6 flat-plane V8 with a different exhaust layout and needs its own parts, so confirm your engine before ordering.

How much power do the Sport Cats add?

Up to 20 wheel horsepower and 22 lb-ft of torque in comparison to the Factory Equipment, measured on a Z51 C8 with the NPP valved exhaust open. The gains come from the higher-flowing HJS 200-cell catalysts and enlarged piping, which free the LT2 to move more air while keeping emissions in check.

Will these Sport Cats trigger a check engine light?

No. Fabspeed builds these around German HJS 200-cell EURO 6 EC-certified tri-metallic catalytic converters and backs them with a no-check-engine-light guarantee, so the factory emissions system reads them as compliant. They raise exhaust flow without setting a fault code on a stock or tuned LT2.

What are the Fabspeed Sport Cats for C8 Chevrolet Corvette made from?

They are built from T304L stainless steel, with German-made HJS 200-cell tri-metallic catalytic converters and enlarged piping on both sides of each cat for higher flow. Military-grade heat blankets wrap the assemblies to control underbody heat, and the complete set weighs roughly 9 pounds less than the factory section.

Are the Sport Cats hard to install?

They bolt on as a direct replacement for the factory system with no cutting or welding required. Because the C8 is mid-engine, access is tighter than on a front-engine car, so many owners have them fitted by an exhaust shop. No tune is required, though a valved exhaust open shows the full gains.

Are the Sport Cats legal in California?

No. These Sport Cats are not CARB approved and are not for sale in California or other states that require CARB-compliant exhaust equipment. In those states they are sold for closed-course or off-road use only. Check the emissions rules where you live before ordering, since requirements vary by state.

Description

Fabspeed Sport Cats for C8 Chevrolet Corvette

Equipped with German-made HJS 200 cell EURO 6 EC certified compliant tri-metallic catalysts, featuring enlarged piping from the engine side to the sport cat, and from the sport cat to the rest of the exhaust system. These represent the largest and highest flowing catalysts available for the 2020+ Corvette C8. The advantage of this lies in their ability to facilitate more exhaust flow, while the increased surface area enhances exhaust gas filtering, ensuring emissions compliance and preventing the triggering of a check engine light. These Sport Cats serve as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory C8 system.

Power

The sport cats were dyno tested on a Z51 package C8 equipped with the NPP valved exhaust. During the testing, curve gains of up to 20 hp and 22 ft/lbs of torque were observed at the wheels, surpassing the performance of the stock equipment. Both dyno runs were conducted with the valves open on the NPP exhaust.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
