Long-tube runners and CNC-machined merge collectors replace the restrictive factory manifolds and cat assemblies, feeding into a compact x-chamber muffler on the valves-closed path and a large-diameter 3″ x-pipe on the valves-open path for a higher-pitched, smoother GT3 note that builds into a wail as revs climb. High-flow HJS 200-cell catalytic converters are positioned in-line after the headers to maintain exhaust velocity while supporting serious power and greatly reducing the likelihood of CELs when used as intended, making this package equally at home on the street or at the track. With the valves closed, the internal straight-through, perforated-core muffler and built-in x-pipe smooth and calm the tone for comfortable sub-4,000 rpm cruising; open the valves and exhaust flow is routed primarily through the free-flowing x-pipe for a sharper, more urgent, motorsport-inspired soundtrack controlled entirely by your right foot. Every system is built in-house at SOUL’s Willow Grove, PA facility from thick-wall .065″ T304L stainless with billet 304L head flanges, precision v-band connections, and back-purged TIG welds, then fixture-checked for precise, direct bolt-on fitment on all 2025+ 992.2 GT3 models. The included 4″ Slash Cut Single Wall tips in Satin Black fill out the diffuser opening with a purposeful, track-ready look while a tip plate allows easy swapping to other tip styles in the future. Construction

• Every system is meticulously assembled in the USA using mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel with a thick .065″ wall. SOUL Performance Products incorporates their billet 304L stainless steel head flanges and merge collector, which are precisely cut using a state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machine to optimize exhaust flow and enhance overall strength. To ensure exceptional weld quality and longevity, the TIG welding process is back purged, utilizing ARCAL™ Prime argon gas. This step is crucial for durability, particularly in demanding track conditions. The headers and system are fabricated with the aid of robust thick gauge aluminum fixtures, serving as effective heat sinks during the welding process. These fixtures not only prevent warping of the products but also safeguard against warping of the fixtures themselves, ensuring impeccable fitment.

Headers

• The key to enhancing performance lies in replacing the factory headers, which are known for their weight and restrictions. By opting for a complete system replacement, SOUL Performance Products can eliminate the limitations imposed by the factory catalytic assemblies and the “particulate filters,” as well as the large 7-⅝ connection point to the factory rear muffler assembly. By optimizing the flange design of their previous generation GT3 Competition Headers, SOUL Performance Products successfully eliminates the need for costly OEM clamps and donut gaskets associated with the factory 991 gen connection point. Instead, they employ a more efficient v-band connection point, resulting in improved efficiency and performance.
• Even though the GT3 is a remarkable engineering marvel created by Porsche, the exhaust manifolds it comes with are constrained in terms of primary tubing length, runner diameter, and merge collection efficiency. These limitations stem from factors such as dense catalytic converters, mass production considerations, and compromises made for emissions and sound restrictions. To overcome these limitations, SOUL Performance Products has focused on refining the interface between the flange and primary tubes, incorporating smooth radius large diameter bends, and implementing performance-oriented collectors with merge spikes. This meticulous approach has resulted in increased flow, improved response, enhanced performance, and a more aggressive exhaust note to match. Rather than opting for a slip-on merge collector, they have taken the path of designing a high-flow collector using CAD technology and CNC machining to eliminate any chances of exhaust leaks. The bespoke billet collector allows for optimized runner length and reduces the need for multiple welds, ensuring durability. Furthermore, their billet CNC head flanges enable a more efficient transition from the exhaust ports into the runners and provide added strength in a high-stress area, minimizing the risk of cracking during repeated, intense use on track days.

HJS 200-Cell Catalysts

• These catalytic converters are crafted with the highest standards of quality, renowned for their exceptional flow characteristics and durability. They have been engineered to meet the stringent EURO 4 emission standards while still allowing for increased flow. The HD design incorporates a premium triple foil winding, ensuring maximum strength and structural integrity. Furthermore, the inclusion of a brazing stripe serves as an additional measure to enhance durability, effectively preventing any core movement or damage that may occur under sustained high horsepower conditions.

Rear Exhaust Section

• Given the limited space underneath the vehicle, SOUL Performance Products faced the challenge of devising an intricate solution to ensure proper alignment of the catalytic converters following the headers, thereby maximizing exhaust velocity. In order to achieve their objective of minimizing drone presence and creating an exhilarating touring-level sound, they found that incorporating a muffler proved to be the most effective approach, effectively reducing drone levels below 3000rpm. This solution strikes a balance, allowing for an exciting sound experience while ensuring a reduced presence of cabin noise during touring.
• When the valves are open, the exhaust is able to freely flow through the 3″ piping and an x-pipe, facilitating a higher pitched and smooth sound with optimal flow characteristics. On the other hand, when the valves are closed, the exhaust is directed through secondary flow path piping and a specially designed SOUL muffler. The internal design of the muffler is engineered to minimize flow restriction, utilizing straight-through perforated piping that allows the exhaust gases to escape and be muffled by the surrounding packing material within the muffler body. Additionally, the muffler incorporates an internal x-pipe to ensure a seamless merging of the exhaust flow. These characteristics are crucial in reducing and smoothing out drone frequencies in the sub 3,000rpm range, while simultaneously enhancing the desired higher pitched note, both in the valves closed and open conditions, achieving the sound profile that SOUL Performance Products sought after.
• Apart from the unique design of the bespoke muffler, SOUL Performance Products has implemented several other distinctive characteristics in this system, primarily focused on the secondary flow path that enters the muffler. It is important to emphasize that the valves open flow path extends beyond the external x-pipe flow path, as a portion of the exhaust flow continues through the secondary flow path even when the valves are open. This design effectively utilizes the entire secondary flow path and muffler design to achieve a smooth tone and minimize drone in valves open mode. By utilizing this secondary flow path for cruising cabin presence, Soul Performance Products was able to pursue an aggressive design for the primary valves open flow path, maximizing the sound enhancement without requiring the addition of extra resonators or mufflers.
• The catted and free flow sections of the exhaust are interchangeable, offering versatility and customization options. By opting for the 200-cell cats, you can minimize the likelihood of triggering check engine lights (CELs) while achieving a slightly milder exhaust tone. On the other hand, selecting the free flow section allows you to maximize the excitement and performance on the track. Additionally, SOUL Performance Products incorporates a tip plate, similar to the style utilized on the 991 GT3, providing the flexibility to switch between different tip assemblies or styles, further enhancing the visual appeal of the exhaust system.

Sound

• To summarize, the design of this system aims to deliver a more appealing sound experience with enhanced tone in all driving scenarios. You can relish in heightened presence during relaxed drives while also unleashing an assertive wail with the application of throttle. The merging of exhaust banks through the x-pipes, coupled with the sound-dampening properties of the muffler, contributes to a higher-pitched sound that befits a GT car. This results in a notable increase in mechanical tone and overall aggression, elevating the auditory experience to match the car’s performance capabilities.
• The cabin experience is remarkably smooth, providing seamless transitions from gentle acceleration at low RPMs to exhilarating wide-open throttle moments at high RPMs.
• Compared to a system without a muffler, this configuration offers a higher-pitched and more refined tone in the lower RPM range.
• This system provides a comfortable experience at engine speeds below 4000rpm, maintaining a reasonable level of cabin presence without excessive drone.
• There is a noticeable difference in sound levels both inside and outside the car, allowing you to fly under the radar and maintain a subdued exhaust note during casual driving when the valves are closed.
• When the valves are closed, the volume is noticeably amplified by a refined degree. The sound becomes more distinct, exhibiting a smoother and more exhilarating tone compared to the lackluster and hollow factory exhaust note.
• At wide-open throttle, the exhaust system unleashes an aggressive sound as the valves gradually begin opening at 4000rpm and reach full openness by 5000rpm. This setup provides a street-friendly and controllable level of volume when desired, in contrast to a system without a muffler that tends to be loud consistently.

Valve Control

• The car’s exhaust valves are equipped with electronic actuators attached to a mechanically movable valve body. The factory programming of the exhaust valves keeps them closed until reaching 4000rpm, at which point they gradually begin to open between 4000-5000rpm before fully opening. When the Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) is activated, you can rev the car with the valves open. However, once you accelerate, the valves automatically close again, repeating the cycle with the same functionality until reaching 4000rpm, followed by the progressive opening up to 5000rpm. If you desire a complete override of the valve operation, where the valves remain 100% open at wide open throttle regardless of the rpm, ECU tuning is available to achieve this customization.
• Significant research and development efforts have been dedicated to the valves on this platform, as relocating or disconnecting them can lead to potential check engine lights and performance concerns. Unlike previous vacuum actuated OEM valves that could default to open via spring pressure, the actuators in this case are responsible for maintaining tension on the valve bodies. Consequently, removing the actuators is not a viable option to keep the valves permanently open. Rest assured, the included hardware is specifically designed to ensure the proper operation of the valves and effectively eliminates any potential issues that may arise.
