SOUL Performance Sport Catalysts for C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
SOUL Performance’s Sport Catalytic Converters for the Chevrolet C8 Corvette replace the restrictive factory primary cats with premium HJS HD 200-cell units housed in thick-wall.065″ mandrel-bent T304L stainless assemblies, freeing up the LT2’s V8 rumble, throttle response, and power without sacrificing drivability or triggering check engine lights. Developed as direct bolt-on upgrades for 2020+ C8 models (with or without NPP, and including E-Ray), each set drops roughly 9.6lbs versus the OEM hardware while delivering independently verified gains of 17whp and 20ft-lb of torque when paired with the factory valved exhaust. The converters are TIG welded in-house using robust aluminum fixtures to prevent warping and ensure repeatable fitment, then paired with bespoke PTP Lava heat shields to control underbody temperatures around sensitive components. Supplied with new genuine GM gaskets, rigorously quality-checked, fixture-tested, and foam packed for safe arrival, these sport cats offer a clean, emissions-conscious way to wake up your C8’s sound and performance, all backed by SOUL Performance’s renowned Lifetime Warranty for street and track use.
Construction
Each set of catalytic converters is meticulously assembled in-house in the USA using mandrel bent, thick wall.065″ T304L stainless steel. To ensure proper weld penetration and longevity, back purged TIG welding techniques are employed. SOUL Performance takes great care during fabrication by utilizing thick gauge aluminum fixtures, which act as efficient heat sinks during the welding process. This not only prevents warping of their products but also maintains the integrity of the fixtures themselves, guaranteeing a perfect fitment.
Considering the proximity of the catalytic converters to sensitive components, it is crucial to have heat shields in place for the C8 Corvette. To provide a superior heat shielding solution, SOUL Performance has partnered with PTP Turbo Blankets. The bespoke heat shields offered by PTP are custom-made and form-fitting to suit the specific requirements of the C8. These heat shields, constructed with an outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock (rated 1800°F for direct heat and 2500°F for radiant heat), are woven into a tight mesh weave fabric. Internally, they are insulated with high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (rated 1832°F continuous and 2300°F peak), overlaid with a high-temperature stainless steel mesh. This design ensures increased durability and improved thermal resistance. The PTP Lava Turbo Blankets are engineered to withstand the most challenging conditions, offering unparalleled performance and protection.
HJS HD 200-Cell Catalysts
The catalytic converters utilized are the epitome of quality, renowned for their unrivaled flow characteristics and exceptional durability. These converters feature a premium wash coat infused with precious metals, allowing them to efficiently catalyze and meet stringent EURO 4 emission standards, all while permitting increased flow without triggering a check engine light. The HD design incorporates a robust triple foil winding, ensuring maximum strength and resilience. An additional feature, the brazing stripe, is included to enhance durability by preventing core movement or damage from sustained high horsepower abuse.
The utilization of a large and precisely sized catalyst enables the achievement of maximum gains. These catalysts have undergone extensive testing and have been proven effective in high-performance applications, such as McLaren and Porsche Turbo, where substantial horsepower support is required.
Power
Third-party testing was conducted at Dynosty on a Dynojet Dyno to assess the performance impact. The baseline power measurements, using the factory exhaust, recorded 453whp and 427ft-lbs of torque. Upon incorporating the SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters, the power increased to 470whp and 447ft-lbs of torque, resulting in remarkable peak gains of 17whp and 20ft-lbs of torque.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
