The 991 Turbo Eventuri intake system was developed through extensive real-world testing, designed to improve turbo efficiency. By replacing the single stock airbox with individual patented Venturi filter housings, the turbos experience less drag, allowing them to spool faster and generate boost more efficiently. This reduces wastegate duty cycles, leading to peak boost at lower RPM and increased performance. The two individual filters offer a larger filtration area compared to the single stock panel filter. To maintain low inlet air temperatures, the Venturi housings are sealed against an air duct that draws ambient air from the same location as the stock system. Given the densely packed 911 Turbo engine bay, managing high IATs requires a fully sealed intake system. The result is a smoother airflow path to each turbo, lower IATs, enhanced performance, and sharper throttle response compared to the stock airbox.

The Eventuri Difference

• The 911 Turbo Eventuri system features Eventuri’s patented carbon fiber housings with their Gen 2 bespoke filters, designed to create an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbos. This is more than just a standard cone filter with a heat shield; it incorporates a unique design that utilizes the Venturi effect, maintaining laminar flow conditions to reduce drag on the turbos and improve overall performance.

Intake Housing Assembly

• The filter housings consist of bespoke Generation 2 filters, aluminum inlet cowls, carbon pods, and integrated tubes. The carbon pods enclose the reverse-mounted filters and guide the airflow smoothly to the stock turbo inlet tubes. By separating the inlet path and providing each turbo with a dedicated filter, the intake optimizes turbo efficiency. The Venturi housings extend with a smooth curve from the filter opening to the turbo tubing, ensuring smooth airflow throughout the system. This reduction in drag allows the turbos to reach peak boost more quickly, improving throttle response.

Patented Technology

• Eventuri’s patented filter housings feature a smooth reduction in cross-sectional area, tapering down to the tubing, which creates the Venturi effect. This accelerates airflow while maintaining laminar conditions, similar to a large velocity stack. The bespoke filters help maintain an even velocity profile as airflow exits the housings, further enhancing performance.

Intake Duct

• The intake duct seals to the underside of the boot-lid using the stock rubber cushion and extends down to connect with the filter housings. Made from 100% prepreg carbon fiber, the duct ensures the intake only pulls in ambient air, avoiding heated engine bay air. To maximize flow efficiency, the transition from the circular filter housing openings to the single air entry is as smooth as possible. The duct also includes two drain tubes that channel water away from the filters. These tubes are designed to minimize the amount of air drawn from the engine bay due to the greater flow resistance compared to the top opening of the duct. The duct’s complex geometry is tailored to fit within the engine bay of the 991 Turbo.

Bracket Work

• The brackets are laser cut from stainless steel and powder coated for durability. Eventuri meticulously ensured precision fitment using the stock airbox mounting points. The brackets not only secure the intakes to the chassis but also retain stock engine components as originally designed. To reduce weight, each bracket features purposefully designed cutouts that remove material while maintaining structural rigidity.
