Blue Anodized Finish

• When exposed to oxygen, raw aluminum develops an oxide film on its surface, which is referred to as oxidation. This is analogous to rusting, but anodizing takes it further by generating an even tougher and impenetrable layer of aluminum oxide. Anodizing produces a resistant coating, making it a suitable choice for use in a racetrack.

“E-Slit” Double Shaving Effect

• The impressive design of the E–Slit Rotor is created by the combination of a long curved slit and an “E“ slit on top. The dual shading effect of the two slits keeps the pad in impeccable condition, with the long slit providing delicate pad sculpting and the “E“ slit boosting braking power for increased efficiency. It is necessary to switch out the rotor when the long slit fades away on the rotor side and the “E“ is no longer visible.
• Due to the effects of rust and corrosion, the brake rotor can become worn over time. Therefore, it is recommended that the brake rotor be replaced at least once every two years.

• The E–Slit rotor has been designed with a curved slit that is longer than usual, accompanied by four smaller E–Slits, which help to ensure a smoother shave. Special Heat Treatment Process

• Subjecting a rotor to long periods of strenuous use can cause its surface to expand and contract because of the heat produced, resulting in the formation of small cracks (heat cracks). To prevent this, a pre–treatment was done to reinforce the rotor‘s components, minimizing the risk of heat cracks during hard driving. This has extended the rotor‘s lifespan and it can now be used for an extended period of time with less worries.

About Bedding

• In order to take full advantage of the capabilities of circuit–specific pads that are designed to perform even in high temperatures, it is necessary to utilize a process called ‘bedding‘. This requires preheating prior to hard–driving to make sure that the pads will not be significantly impacted by any excessive temperatures.
• Competitions of the highest caliber in motorsports, such as SUPER GT, WRC and a handful of European races, all necessitate bedding.
• Before using semi–metallic brake pads, it is important to carry out a proper bedding–in procedure in order to ensure the best performance at high temperatures and extend the lifespan of both the brake pads and rotors.
• How to Bed:
  • When using a new product on a circuit, you must heat the rotor up to a temperature of 400–500° C, making sure not to brake heavily. Afterwards, you can add atari and let the rotor cool down to a temperature of 100° C or lower to finish the process.
