One clockwise turn of the gold knob engages race mode across all four damping zones at once: low-speed compression, high-speed compression, low-speed rebound, and high-speed rebound. Reverse it and the damper returns to a comfortable road setting. No tools required, no per-corner adjustments needed. On track, the DFV internals react quickly to surface changes, keeping the front tires loaded through corners and giving you more usable grip before the MINI runs out of traction. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
