Endless Brake Pads for R56 MINI Cooper S
Brake Pads for R56 Cooper S hatches that let an owner pick the friction for the commute, the autocross course or the circuit.
Endless’s Brake Pads for R56 MINI Cooper S fit the second-generation Cooper S, the car that swapped the R53 supercharger for a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, on the pair Endless lists for 2008 to 2011: EIP140 at the front and EIP141 at the rear. Endless references both shapes to the R56. For these shapes the Endless range runs from SSM Plus to MA45B, which is offered for the front axle. For a Cooper S used on the road with an occasional autocross, MX72 is the compound we would fit; a car that does track days needs MX72 Plus.
On a Cooper S driven daily, SSM Plus keeps the wheels clean and the brakes quiet, and Endless does not price SSS for these shapes. MX72 is the pick for a keen driver who wants bite from cold, MX72 Plus suits track days on street tires, and CC-Rg suits a car that laps most months. The racing compounds are for a prepared car; MA45B is front only because Endless does not price it for EIP141. W007 and W008, priced by Endless for these shapes, are left off because Endless designs both for carbon ceramic rotors, and the Cooper S runs iron rotors.
Every figure below is Endless’s own. Friction is the compound’s average friction coefficient, so a higher number gives more bite for the same pedal pressure. The rotor range is the band of rotor temperatures Endless designs the compound to work in, so choose by the temperatures your car will see.

Each option below is one choice in the Choose Compound menu. For a group, name your compound in the order notes and Bulletproof Automotive confirms it with your order. Every racing compound needs Endless’s bedding procedure: at 70 to 80 percent of normal pedal effort, bring the rotors gradually to 400C (752F), then let them cool below 150C (302F) before hard use.
