SilverRocket’s Seamless Dry Carbon Fiber Roll Cage for the Porsche 992 GT3 and GT3 RS isn’t just another bolt-in bar. It’s a full structural solution, built around one goal: survivability. TÜV SÜD tested, FIA-compliant, and stress-optimized using advanced CAE modeling, this cage sets a new bar for what’s possible in carbon safety systems.
The numbers speak clearly. The SR roll cage withstood 23,656 kg of pressure during official TÜV compression tests, over 52,000 pounds. That’s 4.4 times more force than required under FIA Appendix J Article 253, the same standard used in international racing. In a crash, there’s no room for almost. SilverRocket made sure of it.
The visual finish of this cage is just as serious as its strength. SilverRocket uses a fully seamless carbon fiber layup, the first of its kind on the market. There are no bond lines, no wrap seams, and no cosmetic patches. Even on complex curves and small radii, the surface is smooth and uninterrupted.
That finish comes from what’s inside. Over 50 layers of aerospace-grade dry carbon fiber form the unique octagon-shaped monocoque structure. The design is symmetrical left-to-right, offering the same level of rear impact protection for both LHD and RHD chassis. Inside the layup, 46 layers of uni-directional cloth are mapped using an AI-driven process that aligns carbon strength with actual impact force paths, an approach SilverRocket calls SR-Orientation.
At just 12.8 kg, the cage weighs less than the OEM Porsche 992 GT3 roll cage (14.2 kg) while offering a significant increase in structural rigidity.
SilverRocket didn’t stop at strength and weight. The team made several key improvements over the factory cage based on user feedback from the GT3 and GT4 communities.
Rearward visibility remains clear thanks to the cage’s lowered, curved rear structure. While many half-cages and OEM-style bars obscure the rear glass, the SR design keeps the view unobstructed, critical during lane changes and tight pit lane navigation.
Storage access also saw a major upgrade. With the front trunk space taken by cooling and aero hardware, many GT3 RS owners use the rear seat area for gear storage. But the OEM cage doesn’t allow a full helmet bag to pass through. SilverRocket’s solution was to enlarge the center tunnel opening for easier access without compromising integrity.
Harness compatibility is equally precise. The integrated bar meets FIA pull-force requirements, supporting over 30 kN, and it’s positioned to create a proper 0° to -20° belt angle from the driver’s shoulders to the bar, exactly what regulations and experience demand.
