SOUL Performance’s X-Pipe for 997.2 Porsche 911 Turbo lets you upgrade to a proper X-pipe exhaust while retaining your factory catalytic converter sections, delivering maximum power gains and an exhilarating increase in flat-six engine note and turbo wail without giving up emissions compliance. The proprietary X-pipe design, 3in piping, and quad race resonators deliver an increase in sound from both the engine and turbos without any drone, the OEM+ tone the Turbo should have had leaving the factory. Every system is built in-house from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel, fixture-tested for perfect fitment, and backed by SOUL’s renowned Lifetime Warranty for both street and track use. Development and Testing

The X-Pipe for 997.2 Porsche 911 Turbo exists for one of two reasons: you need to leave the factory catalytic converters in place, or you just want greater volume with more pops and burbles on deceleration. SOUL built in modularity from the start: tips can be swapped out, and the system pairs with SOUL’s catted or race pipe sections at any time. Supporting high power was another priority, calling for 3in tubing, and SOUL experimented with adding a mixing chamber into the X-pipe design. 3D CAD analysis showed a general increase in velocity gained downstream of the mixing chamber across a band of measured pressure and temperature levels, producing optimal flow characteristics, reduced backpressure for higher horsepower, and better sound quality. Quad race resonators make a discernible difference in reducing drone while encouraging a more refined exhaust note.

Construction

Each system is made from mandrel-bent T304L 3in, .065in wall stainless steel tubing, straight-through race resonators with a full metal packing design for maximum durability, and laser-cut brackets for perfect fitment. Choose from several hand-finished tip options to get the look that suits your 997.2 Turbo best, or reuse your factory tips; Mikalor Supra heavy-duty clamps are included to securely hold the tips onto the system. Each exhaust is tested in a fixture to guarantee fitment and then foam packed to arrive in perfect condition, with thorough installation instructions included in the box for a straightforward install most DIY enthusiasts can perform.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
