The Hybrid Forged Series utilizes the flow forming technique to enhance the traditional casting method, yielding lighter yet stronger wheels. This process not only improves the overall durability of the wheels but also provides a wider range of available wheel widths for each offered style.

• Vossen introduced the inaugural HF6-1 model, which incorporates the Hybrid Forged process utilized in their existing product lineup. This signifies an expansion of the series to meet the demands of customers who own trucks and SUVs with 6-lug configurations.

The Flow Forming Process

• The rotating flow forming machine is equipped with a mold in the shape of a wheel, which is then affixed to it. Subsequently, heat is applied to the mold.
• To expand the wheel, hydraulic rollers apply pressure to the barrel.
• The desired width of the wheel is achieved by manipulating and adjusting the material through a process of stretching and compressing.
• By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, resulting in a strengthened and lighter composition that closely resembles that of a manufactured wheel.
