The Flow Forming Process

• Initiating the process involves securely fastening a wheel-shaped mold to the rotating flow forming machine, which is then carefully heated. Hydraulic rollers are utilized to exert pressure on the barrel, gradually expanding the wheel. Meticulous manipulation and adjustment of the material occur through precise stretching and compressing techniques to achieve the desired width. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, leading to a composition that is both lighter and stronger. The end result bears a remarkable resemblance to a wheel produced in a factory.

This meticulous process ensures adherence to SAE and TUV standards while preserving the optimal contour of the components.
