The Flow Forming Process

• The process initiates with the precise attachment of a wheel-shaped mold to the rotating flow forming machine, which is subsequently subjected to heat. Hydraulic rollers are then employed to exert controlled pressure on the barrel, facilitating the expansion of the wheel. To achieve the desired width, the material undergoes meticulous manipulation and adjustment through carefully executed stretching and compressing techniques. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, resulting in a final composition that remarkably resembles a wheel produced in a factory. This advanced process not only reduces weight but also enhances strength, offering a wheel that is both lighter and stronger.
