The Flow Forming Process

• The flow forming process for wheel production starts with a cast wheel securely mounted to the drum, followed by the application of heat. Hydraulic rollers are then utilized to apply pressure, stretching the barrel material outward until the desired width is achieved. This stretching process enhances the grain structure of the aluminum used for the barrels, resulting in wheels that possess similar strength and lightness as those produced through forging techniques, surpassing the standard wheels made by conventional casting methods.
