The Flow Forming Process

• The process begins by meticulously securing a wheel-shaped mold onto the rotating flow forming machine, followed by the application of heat. Precise pressure is then exerted on the barrel using hydraulic rollers, facilitating the controlled expansion of the wheel. Careful stretching and compressing techniques are employed to achieve the desired width, with the material undergoing meticulous manipulation and adjustment. Through the extension of the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, resulting in a final composition that remarkably resembles a factory-produced wheel. This advanced process yields a wheel with reduced weight and increased strength, offering exceptional performance and durability.
