The Flow Forming Process

• The process begins by securing a cast wheel to the rotating flow forming drum and applying heat. Hydraulic rollers then exert pressure on the wheel barrel, stretching it to the desired shape. Meticulous manipulation of the wheel material through compression and expansion is performed to achieve the optimal width. By stretching the material composition of the barrels, the aluminum undergoes a transformation, resulting in a lighter and stronger apparatus, comparable to the manufacturing process of forged wheels.
