The Flow Forming Process

• The process begins by securely attaching a wheel-shaped mold to the rotating flow forming machine, followed by the application of heat. Hydraulic rollers are then utilized to exert controlled pressure on the barrel, resulting in the expansion of the wheel. To achieve the desired width, the material undergoes meticulous manipulation and adjustment through carefully executed stretching and compressing techniques. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, ultimately leading to a lighter and stronger composition that bears a striking resemblance to a factory-made wheel.
