The Flow Forming Process

• In the first step, a molded wheel is securely attached to the pressure-forming barrel and heated. Moving on to step two, hydraulic rollers exert pressure on the barrel, causing the wheel to expand. Step three involves carefully manipulating and adjusting the material of the wheel to achieve the desired width through stretching and compressing. Finally, in step four, stretching the barrel material enhances the aluminum’s grain structure, resulting in a stronger and lighter barrel, similar to that of a forged wheel.
