The Flow Forming Process

• In the initial stage of the process, a cast wheel is securely attached to the flow forming drum and heated. In the second step, hydraulic rollers apply pressure to the wheel rim, causing it to stretch. The material of the wheel undergoes manipulation through tension and pressure to achieve the desired width. Finally, in the fourth step, the barrel material is stretched, resulting in an improved grain structure and a stronger yet lighter barrel, reminiscent of a forged wheel.
