The utilization of flow forming also offers a wide range of wheel widths within each design, providing greater flexibility and versatility.

The Vossen HF-2 Wheel, a member of the Vossen Hybrid Forged Series, draws its bold and mesh-inspired aesthetic from its forged counterpart, the S17-01. Standard finishes include Brushed Gloss Black and Tinted Matte Gunmetal, while for those seeking a personalized touch, five of the Vossen Forged solid finishes are available, allowing for a custom look and feel.

The Flow Forming Process

• The process begins by securely attaching a wheel-shaped mold to the rotating flow forming machine, followed by the application of heat to the mold. Hydraulic rollers then exert pressure on the barrel to expand the wheel. To achieve the desired width, the material is carefully manipulated and adjusted through stretching and compressing. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, resulting in a strengthened and lighter composition that bears a striking resemblance to a manufactured wheel.
