The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming starts with a cast wheel mounted on a heated, rotating drum, where hydraulic rollers apply consistent, even pressure to the barrel. As the barrel is gradually expanded to its final dimensions, the aluminum’s grain structure is compacted and reoriented, greatly enhancing strength and durability.
