The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming begins by placing a cast wheel on a heated, rotating drum, where hydraulic rollers apply steady, uniform pressure along the barrel. As the barrel gradually expands to its final dimensions, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and realigned, significantly increasing strength and durability. This advanced technique creates a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with characteristics similar to those of a fully forged wheel.
