The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming begins by placing a cast wheel onto a heated, rotating drum, where hydraulic rollers apply steady, uniform pressure along the barrel. As the barrel is gradually expanded to its final size, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and realigned, significantly improving strength and durability. This advanced technique results in a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with characteristics comparable to a fully forged wheel.
