The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming starts by positioning a cast wheel onto a heated, spinning drum, where hydraulic rollers apply consistent, even pressure along the barrel. As the barrel gradually reaches its final width, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and realigned, greatly enhancing its strength and durability. This advanced technique results in a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with qualities similar to those of a fully forged wheel.
