The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming mounts a cast wheel on a heated, rotating mandrel while hydraulic rollers apply uniform pressure along the barrel. As the barrel is worked to its final width, the aluminum grain compresses and realigns, substantially increasing strength and durability. The result is a lightweight, high-performance barrel with properties approaching a fully forged wheel.
