The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming mounts a cast wheel on a heated, rotating mandrel while hydraulic rollers apply uniform pressure along the barrel. As it’s worked to final width, the aluminum grain compresses and realigns, markedly increasing strength and durability. The result is a lightweight, high-performance barrel with near-forged characteristics.
