The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming starts by securing a cast wheel to a heated, spinning drum, where hydraulic rollers apply uniform pressure along the barrel. As the barrel expands to its final size, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and reoriented, greatly enhancing its strength and durability. This advanced process creates a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with qualities similar to those of a fully forged wheel.
