The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming starts by securing a cast wheel on a heated, spinning drum while hydraulic rollers apply steady, uniform pressure along the barrel. As the barrel is worked out to its final width, the aluminum grain structure is compacted and realigned, greatly boosting strength and durability. This precise manufacturing method produces a lightweight, high-performance barrel with characteristics comparable to a fully forged wheel.
