The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming begins by mounting a cast wheel onto a heated, rotating drum, where hydraulic rollers apply consistent, even pressure along the barrel. As the barrel is stretched to its final width, the aluminum’s grain structure is compacted and reoriented, significantly increasing strength and durability. This precision process results in a lightweight, high-performance wheel barrel with qualities similar to those of a fully forged wheel.
