The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming starts with a cast wheel secured to a heated drum while hydraulic rollers apply controlled pressure to the barrel. As the barrel is gradually stretched and shaped to its final width, the aluminum’s grain structure is compressed and refined, producing a lighter, stronger barrel with near fully forged performance.
