The Flow Forming Process

• Flow forming starts with a cast wheel secured on a heated forming drum. Hydraulic rollers then apply controlled pressure to the barrel, progressively stretching and shaping it to the target width. This carefully managed process refines the aluminum’s grain structure, creating a lighter, stronger barrel with performance characteristics approaching those of a fully forged wheel.
