The Factory

Engineered Art

Design

• Vossen measures over 100 data points on each vehicle to guarantee a perfect fit, custom-making each wheel for specific makes and models.

Concave Profile Flexibility

• All Vossen Forged wheels are created using Vossen’s proprietary forging process, which optimizes the spoke profile by adding extra material to the wheel face. This allows for a range of profiles, from flat to super deep concave, so an 8.5” wheel can achieve the concavity of a 12.5” wide wheel.

Finishing

• Vossen’s in-house finishing facility leverages advanced technology to ensure superior finishes. Whether it’s ceramic polishing or powder coating, Vossen controls each step of the process to achieve the highest-quality results.
  • Hand Prep: Step 1 – After machining, every wheel is carefully hand-sanded and deburred to ensure a flawless finish. For brushed finishes, the labor-intensive hand-sanding process, which can take up to five hours per wheel, ensures a consistent texture.
  • Brushing & Polishing: Step 2 – Brushing and polishing is the most demanding and rewarding stage of the process. Available across the Vossen Forged line, brushed finishes highlight the natural grain of the forged aluminum, while ceramic polishing creates a reflective, mirror-like surface. Combining both results in a premium appearance.
  • Pre-Treatment: Step 3 – After hand prep, wheels undergo a seven-stage pre-treatment cleaning process to eliminate impurities, ensuring a stronger, more uniform finish before powder coating.
  • Powder Coating: Step 4 – Vossen’s custom powder coating facility, specifically designed for wheels, uses advanced technology and premium powders to deliver a durable, uniform finish.
  • Final Visual Inspection: Step 5 – After powder coating, a final inspection ensures the quality and uniformity of the finish. A film thickness gauge is used to check consistency, and each wheel is cleaned and packed for shipping.

Center Caps

• Vossen’s center caps are designed for durability and a cohesive look. Available in polished or brushed finishes, the caps feature the signature red “V” shield as a standard. These finishes are offered at no extra cost, with the option to color-match the wheel for an additional fee. For a premium upgrade, Vossen offers Forged Billet Caps with exclusive “V” inserts. Additionally, Vossen provides a floating cap option, which can also be selected for Rolls Royce vehicles (a “plate” is required for floating caps).
