Volk Racing ZE40 M-Spec Wheel (19-inch)

As the latest ultra-high-grip tires approach S-tire levels of traction, transmitting increasingly high loads, Volk Racing adopts a 10-spoke design engineered to optimize load dispersion around a 5-lug hub. ‘M-Spec’ Machining Letters

• To signify the ZE40 M-Spec, RAYS uses its proprietary A.M.T. (advanced machining technology) to etch the ‘M-Spec’ designation into the rim flange.

Center Cliff Design

• The overhanging perimeter near the bolt holes enhances central rigidity while minimizing weight. This also casts a shadow that gives the illusion of added center depth, and excess material is removed to ensure sufficient clearance for a lug nut wrench.

Spoke Cross Section Born from Analysis

• Stress dispersion is handled through dedicated mated mold interfaces unique to the ZE40. Low-stress regions are aggressively lightened, while the inner rim is reinforced to improve stiffness — design measures made possible by RAYS’ advanced structural analysis.

Bronze (almite) Finish

• Bronze (aka almite) is a signature motorsport color developed by RAYS. As traditional paint can add 80-120g, this anodized finish — though challenging to apply on mold-forged wheels — was chosen to avoid unnecessary weight gain.

• The ZE40 M-Spec is available in a wide variety of colors, with Diamond Dark Gunmetal and Bronze (almite) serving as core finishes.
