Driven by the enduring legacy of the TE37, RAYS has introduced the next evolution — the TE37 Saga S-Plus. Since its original debut in 1996, the TE37 has undergone multiple refinements to meet the demands of sports driving, intensive customization, and performance tuning. The TE37 Saga, launched in 2016 with a newly developed mold and updated design, marked a major milestone. While the wheel has always surpassed Japan’s JWL and VIA standards with RAYS’ proprietary JWL+R Spec-2 certification, further advancements were deemed necessary. Over the last five years, changes such as increased vehicle weight and power, shifting weight distribution from AWD systems, and the growing grip levels of modern tires led RAYS to introduce the Saga S-Plus in January 2021. Every aspect of the wheel was re-evaluated to enhance structural integrity and safety margins. Though the iconic front design remains unchanged, structural improvements are made on the rear of the spokes, resulting in a minor weight increase of approximately 100 to 120g — an intentional trade-off for improved rigidity and overall strength.

• RAYS’ proprietary design mold forging process sculpts each wheel into its optimal form, producing a seamless fiber flow throughout the entire structure. This method ensures maximum strength and rigidity consistent with the original design intent.

Racing Concave

• Volk Racing’s core design philosophy centers on reasonable design and a functional line. The TE37’s variable sizing, widths, offsets, and rim profiles allow it to accommodate a range of customer needs — especially where large brake calipers are involved. This is the essence of the Racing Concave: performance-driven aesthetics rooted in purpose.

The Design Remains with Evolved Performance

• Structurally, the TE37’s original design remains highly efficient. The space between the spokes is formed by 60-degree internal triangles, a geometry that effectively disperses stress away from the rim. Regardless of concave depth, each spoke is adorned with a 3D-machined VOLK RACING logo — an exclusive, premium feature only possible through forged aluminum machining, not decals.
