Designed with a racing-based name for the first time in seven years, the new NE24 is a wheel that transforms conventional ideas and evokes a feel of “entering a new phase.” The name of this new series consists of “N” deriving from the VOLK RACING Gr.N —the roots of the developed wheel, or Group N, the racing class for stock cars with a minimum level of modifications—and “E,” the common initial for the existing series such as TE, CE, and ZE, meaning “evolution.”

Entering a new generation of sports wheels.

2021 will probably be a year of impact in a sense. A great number of new exciting cars are scheduled to be released by Japanese manufacturers. Also, there appears to be a flood of upcoming European C-segment sports models. These cars are elite vehicles that have been developed to compete on the global stage, and therefore wheels to be fitted to such vehicles need to match their novelty.

We never tried to be eccentric but still sought for something new to configure the 2×4 spoke of the NE24. Indeed, in an attempt to create an unconventional geometry, we not only secured sufficient mass at the center area, but also reduced the number of spokes while keeping a necessary volume at the center fastening area and rim joint area. Especially for the outer circumference, we adopted a high-performance design assuming that the wheel is used in combination with a tire with hard specifications.
Making this design feasible essentially required steadily repeated trial and error by RAYS R&D Analytical Team. The skills to give shape to something new were necessary. In addition, using the latest forging technology also helped to achieve the delicate and slight spike. The undercut of the spoke was employed with a further increased level difference. This design is intended to ensure a stereoscopic look even when the narrow size is used.

A new thing is created by embodying something difficult to realize. We will tackle the creation of new styling and performance of street wheels, leveraging our skills and experience that have been acquired through design and development of racing wheels. We will produce both racing wheels and street wheels from the same team members and from the same factory. This is the world of VOLK RACING.

2×4 spoke design

One design concept for racing wheels is ‘to be lighter and stronger.’ Efficient improvement requires weight reduction, and then styling and geometry to meet it are created. The overall design of the NE24’s 2×4 spoke accepts even the unsophisticated appearance of the hole area. The origin of this design lies in the massive center area whose geometry has been refined through repeated shape modifications and strength analysis.

Design of spoke end & periphery of the rim

The spoke end’s irregular triangle element fastened to the rim outer circumference did not come from a single-minded pursuit of reducing weight. This styling has a ‘reasonable reason,’ as it was developed with expectations for the effects on strength as well as rigidity. Furthermore, the rim flange shape is based on the fairing geometry specifically designed to compensate for the large opening, although a minimum size shape is commonly used.

Under cut & A.M.T. machining

The undercut between the spoke end and the rim outer circumference is configured by hollowing the surface at the first step and inclining at a sharp angle at the second step. This design is intended to obtain a contrasting and stereoscopic visual effect even when the narrow size is used with a high inset value . RAYS proprietary A.M.T. machining is added to the design. The engraved letters, which may look trifle at first glance, is a result of our engineering technologies.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.
Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at [email protected] with any inquiries.
