What gains does the VF ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan Performante deliver?

VF Engineering quotes its ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan Performante models at 650 hp and 455 lb-ft, a gain of 20 hp and 13 lb-ft. The change most owners notice first is crisper throttle response at part load rather than the peak figure.

Is the Performante software reversible?

Yes. VF supplies the calibration as an end-user programmable package written through the OBDII port, and states that the factory calibration can be restored from the same port at any time. Nothing physical is changed on the car, so returning to stock leaves no trace in the engine bay.

Is this the same file as the standard Huracan software?

No. VF Engineering lists a separate calibration for the 2017-2019 Huracan Performante, apart from the LP580-2 and LP610-4, the EVO and the STO, Tecnica and Sterrato. Each is written for that variant, so the correct listing for the exact car should be chosen when ordering.

Do I need any other parts to run the software?

No supporting parts are needed. The calibration runs on the factory Performante hardware, including the standard exhaust system. Owners planning further changes can ask Bulletproof Automotive to confirm with VF Engineering whether a revised calibration is recommended for that specification.

Can the Performante also take the VF TCU software?

Yes. The VF Engineering TCU calibration for the Huracan covers 2015 to 2024 models, the Performante included. It works on the dual-clutch gearbox rather than the engine, so it complements the ECU software and is often installed alongside it on the same visit.

Description

VF Engineering Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan Performante

VF Engineering’s Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan Performante gives the 2017-2019 car a calibration of its own rather than a borrowed Huracan file, and VF quotes it at 650 hp and 455 lb-ft, 20 hp and 13 lb-ft above its stock baseline. The Performante was built around lighter forged composite bodywork and active aerodynamics, and it rewards precision more than headline power, which is exactly where a naturally aspirated tune earns its keep. VF concentrates on throttle mapping, ignition and fueling so the 5.2-liter V10 responds faster at part throttle and carries its pull cleanly toward the limiter. Every Huracan calibration is developed on VF’s own chassis dyno in Anaheim, California. For a Performante that already wears the factory hardware its owner chose it for, this is a refinement that changes nothing visible and can be reversed at any time.

About VF Engineering

VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Every calibration is developed in house on the company’s own Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, ECU boards are handled in a dedicated clean room, and new parts start in an R&D room equipped with a rapid prototyper. VF reports that more than 93 percent of its supercharger systems are still running after years of hard use, many on their second or third owner, and its engineers carry the testing discipline of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series into every road calibration.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
