How much power does the VF ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan EVO add?

VF Engineering quotes 650 hp and 455 lb-ft for its ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan EVO models, a gain of 20 hp and 13 lb-ft over its stock baseline. On a naturally aspirated V10 the bigger change is in throttle response and how freely the engine pulls toward its redline.

How is the Huracan EVO software installed?

The calibration is an end-user programmable package written through the OBDII port, so the owner can install it without a workshop appointment. VF states that the factory calibration can be restored from the same port at any time, which suits owners who want to return the EVO to stock before a service.

Does the software need an exhaust or other upgrades?

No. The calibration is written for the Huracan EVO on its factory hardware and needs no supporting parts to run. Owners who fit an exhaust or other upgrades later can ask Bulletproof Automotive to confirm with VF whether a revised calibration is recommended.

Can the ECU and TCU software be used together on the EVO?

Yes. VF sells a separate TCU calibration covering every Huracan from 2015 to 2024, the EVO included. The ECU software changes how the V10 makes its power, while the TCU software works on the dual-clutch gearbox, so the two address different parts of the drivetrain and are commonly paired.

Which Huracan models does this calibration fit?

VF Engineering lists this calibration for the 2020-2024 Huracan EVO with the 5.2 liter V10. The earlier LP580-2 and LP610-4, the Performante and the STO, Tecnica and Sterrato each have their own VF calibration, so check the variant before ordering.

Description

VF Engineering Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan EVO

VF Engineering’s Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan EVO recalibrates the engine control unit of the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10, and VF quotes the result at 650 hp and 455 lb-ft, a gain of 20 hp and 13 lb-ft over its stock figures. A naturally aspirated V10 has no boost to raise, so the work goes into ignition, fueling and throttle mapping, which is where an owner feels it first: in how quickly the engine answers the pedal and how freely it pulls through the upper half of the rev range. VF writes its Huracan calibrations in its own dyno cell in Anaheim, California, the building that also develops its VF8XX supercharger system for the car. It suits an EVO owner who wants more edge from the V10 while keeping every factory component in place.

About VF Engineering

VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Every calibration is developed in house on the company’s own Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, ECU boards are handled in a dedicated clean room, and new parts start in an R&D room equipped with a rapid prototyper. VF reports that more than 93 percent of its supercharger systems are still running after years of hard use, many on their second or third owner, and its engineers carry the testing discipline of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series into every road calibration.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
