How much power does the VF ECU Software for 971 Panamera 4S add?

VF Engineering has not published a stock figure for these cars that matches the Porsche rating, so Bulletproof Automotive does not quote a gain for this ECU Software for 971 Panamera 4, 4S and 4 E-Hybrid models. Owners can ask for VF guidance on their exact car.

Does the calibration work on the 4 E-Hybrid?

Yes. VF Engineering lists the 4 E-Hybrid alongside the Panamera 4 and 4S under this calibration, all with the 2.9 liter twin turbo V6. The calibration works on the combustion engine, and the hybrid system keeps its factory operation. The same file is used for all three models.

How is the Panamera software installed?

VF Engineering installs the calibration at its Anaheim facility in Southern California or through an authorized VF dealer. Bulletproof Automotive coordinates the appointment with VF after the order is placed, and nothing is added to the car or changed in its appearance.

Does the software fit the Sport Turismo?

The Sport Turismo shares its engines with the Panamera sedan, but VF Engineering does not name body styles in this listing. Owners should give Bulletproof Automotive the exact model and body when ordering so VF can confirm the correct file.

Is this the same calibration as the Panamera Turbo?

No. The Panamera Turbo and GTS use a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 and take their own VF Engineering calibration, sold as a separate listing. This file is written for the 2.9 liter V6 cars only and should not be ordered for a V8 model.

Description

VF Engineering Performance ECU Software for 971 Porsche Panamera 4, 4S and 4 E-Hybrid

VF Engineering’s Performance ECU Software for 971 Porsche Panamera 4, 4S and 4 E-Hybrid covers the V6 versions of the second-generation Panamera, all built around the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with its turbochargers inside the vee. The Panamera 4 and 4 E-Hybrid run a milder factory tune than the 4S, and on a turbocharged engine that leaves headroom for revised boost, ignition and fueling. VF writes one calibration for the three. The change is felt in stronger acceleration from low and middle engine speeds, which is where a grand tourer spends most of its life. It suits a V6 Panamera owner who wants more urgency without moving to the V8.

About VF Engineering

VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Every calibration is developed in house on the company’s own Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, ECU boards are handled in a dedicated clean room, and new parts start in an R&D room equipped with a rapid prototyper. VF reports that more than 93 percent of its supercharger systems are still running after years of hard use, many on their second or third owner, and its engineers carry the testing discipline of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series into every road calibration.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
