How much power does the Competition Package for Ferrari GTC4Lusso add?

VF Engineering quotes 720 hp and 535 lb-ft from its Competition Package for Ferrari GTC4Lusso models, gains of 39 hp and 21 lb-ft over the factory 681 hp and 514 lb-ft of the naturally aspirated 6.3 liter V12. Ferrari built the V12 car from 2017 to 2020.

Which should I choose, Competition or Performance?

VF Engineering lists both files for the GTC4Lusso at $2,695 and publishes the same 720 hp and 535 lb-ft for each. VF describes the Competition file as written for track use, so it suits an owner who drives the car on circuits, and the Performance file suits road use.

Does it fit the GTC4Lusso T?

No. The GTC4Lusso T uses a 3.9 liter twin turbo V8 and rear wheel drive, while this calibration is written for the 6.3 liter V12 car with four wheel drive. VF Engineering does not list the GTC4Lusso T for this file.

How is the Competition Package installed?

VF Engineering installs the calibration at its Southern California facility or through an authorized VF dealer. Bulletproof Automotive coordinates the appointment with VF after the order is placed, and no hardware on the V12 or anywhere else on the car is changed.

Will a V12 calibration change how the car drives day to day?

VF Engineering presents the change as sharper throttle response and a cleaner build of revs rather than a different character. The GTC4Lusso keeps its four wheel drive system, its comfort and its factory hardware, with more urgency when the throttle is pressed hard.

Description

VF Engineering Competition Package for Ferrari GTC4Lusso

VF Engineering’s Competition Package for Ferrari GTC4Lusso is the track-designated VF file for Ferrari’s four-seat shooting brake, the 2017-2020 car that kept the FF’s front-mounted power take-off to drive the front wheels from its 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12. Ferrari rated the engine at 681 hp and 514 lb-ft. VF quotes 720 hp and 535 lb-ft with the Competition calibration, gains of 39 hp and 21 lb-ft, the same figures and the same price VF lists for its Performance software. On an atmospheric V12 the work is in ignition, fueling and throttle mapping, felt as a quicker response and a cleaner climb to the limiter. It fits only the V12 car, and it suits an owner who uses the GTC4Lusso hard.

About VF Engineering

VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Every calibration is developed in house on the company’s own Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, ECU boards are handled in a dedicated clean room, and new parts start in an R&D room equipped with a rapid prototyper. VF reports that more than 93 percent of its supercharger systems are still running after years of hard use, many on their second or third owner, and its engineers carry the testing discipline of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series into every road calibration.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
