How much power does the VF ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan STO add?

VF Engineering quotes 650 hp from its ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan STO, Tecnica and Sterrato models, 20 hp above its stock figure for the STO and Tecnica. The Sterrato is rated lower from the factory, so its gain differs from that figure.

Does one file cover the STO, Tecnica and Sterrato?

Yes. VF Engineering lists one calibration for all three, which share the final version of the naturally aspirated 5.2 liter V10. Earlier Huracan models, from the LP580-2 to the EVO, each have their own VF calibration and are sold as separate listings.

How is the software installed?

The calibration is an end-user programmable package written through the OBDII port, so the owner can load it without visiting a workshop. VF Engineering states that the factory calibration can be restored from the same port at any time, with nothing physical changed.

Is the calibration suitable for track use in an STO?

VF Engineering writes its calibrations for both road and track driving, and the STO was built for the circuit. Owners planning regular track days can ask Bulletproof Automotive to discuss their use with VF before ordering, so the right file is supplied.

Can the TCU software be added to these models?

Yes. The VF Engineering TCU calibration covers every Huracan from 2015 to 2024, including the STO, Tecnica and Sterrato. It refines the dual-clutch gearbox while the ECU software works on the engine, and the two are commonly installed together on the same car.

Description

VF Engineering Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan STO, Tecnica and Sterrato

VF Engineering’s Performance ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan STO, Tecnica and Sterrato covers the last three versions of the car, built from 2022 to 2024 and each aimed somewhere different: the STO at the circuit, the Tecnica at the road and the raised Sterrato at gravel. All three keep the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10, and VF quotes 650 hp with its calibration installed, 20 hp above its stock figure for the STO and Tecnica. The rest of the work is in throttle response and the way the engine carries its pull to the limiter. For owners of these final Huracans, it is a way to sharpen a car that will not be built again, and to undo it at will.

Features

VF-quoted 650 hp
Gain of 20 hp over the factory STO and Tecnica rating
One calibration for the STO, Tecnica and Sterrato
End-user programmable through the OBDII port
Factory calibration can be restored at any time
No change to factory hardware

Applications

Lamborghini Huracan STO: 2022-2024 | 5.2L V10
Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica: 2022-2024 | 5.2L V10
Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato: 2023-2024 | 5.2L V10

Notes

This ECU Software for Lamborghini Huracan STO, Tecnica and Sterrato models is software only
The Sterrato starts from a lower factory rating than the STO and Tecnica, so its gain differs
No torque figure is quoted here because the stock torque VF publishes for these cars does not match the factory rating
Pairs with the VF Engineering Performance TCU Software for Lamborghini Huracan

About VF Engineering

VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Every calibration is developed in house on the company’s own Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, ECU boards are handled in a dedicated clean room, and new parts start in an R&D room equipped with a rapid prototyper. VF reports that more than 93 percent of its supercharger systems are still running after years of hard use, many on their second or third owner, and its engineers carry the testing discipline of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series into every road calibration.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
