How much power does the Competition Package for 991.2 GTS add?

VF Engineering quotes 500 hp and 470 lb-ft from its Competition Package for 991.2 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS models, gains of 56 hp and 64 lb-ft over the factory 444 hp and 406 lb-ft. Boost, ignition and fueling are revised on the factory turbochargers of the GTS.

How does it differ from the VF Performance ECU Software?

VF rates its Performance ECU Software for the 991.2 GTS at 490 hp and 465 lb-ft, at $1,695. The Competition Package reaches 500 hp and 470 lb-ft for $1,895, and VF Engineering writes it as a track calibration, so it suits an owner who takes the GTS to circuits.

Does it work with the manual and PDK GTS?

Yes. The calibration works on the engine, and VF Engineering lists it for the 991.2 Carrera GTS without restriction by gearbox, so it applies to the seven speed manual and the PDK, in coupe, Cabriolet, Targa and all wheel drive form alike.

How is the Competition Package installed?

VF Engineering supplies the file as end user programmable software, loaded by the owner through the OBDII port with no professional installation needed. The factory calibration can be restored at any time, so the GTS can go back to standard before a sale or a dealer visit.

Does the GTS file fit a Carrera S?

No. The 991.2 Carrera GTS uses larger turbochargers than the Carrera S, and VF Engineering writes a separate calibration for each. Carrera S and 4S owners should choose the Competition Package for their own car, sold as its own listing at Bulletproof Automotive.

Description

VF Engineering Competition Package for 991.2 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS

VF Engineering’s Competition Package for 991.2 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is the stronger of the two VF files for the best-equipped 991.2 Carrera, the GTS that took larger turbochargers than the Carrera S along with the wide rear body and a standard sport exhaust. Against Porsche’s 444 hp and 406 lb-ft, VF quotes 500 hp and 470 lb-ft with the Competition calibration, gains of 56 hp and 64 lb-ft and a step beyond the 490 hp of its Performance software. It is written for track use, and the GTS, with its sharper chassis and the option of a seven-speed manual, is the 991.2 Carrera best placed to use it. About VF Engineering

VF Engineering designs supercharger and turbocharger systems, titanium exhausts and ECU and TCU calibrations from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Anaheim, Orange County, California, where it has been based for nearly two decades. Every calibration is developed in house on the company’s own Mustang AWD 500 chassis dyno, ECU boards are handled in a dedicated clean room, and new parts start in an R&D room equipped with a rapid prototyper. VF reports that more than 93 percent of its supercharger systems are still running after years of hard use, many on their second or third owner, and its engineers carry the testing discipline of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series into every road calibration.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
