What is PU-RIM and how does it differ from fiberglass or ABS?

PU-RIM is polyurethane reaction injection molding, a process that forms the panel under pressure rather than laying it up by hand. The result holds body color paint without the cracking and fitment drift common to fiberglass, and carries more impact resilience than ABS at this size. It is the same family of material the factory uses for bumper covers.

Do the Widetrack fender arches require cutting or modification to the factory bodywork?

The arches mount over the existing arch profile and are developed in-house against the L460 body, so no cutting of the factory panel is involved. Confirm the fixing method and any trim removal with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering, since practice varies across the Widetrack range by component.

Can the fender arches be ordered without the rest of the Widetrack package?

Yes. The Widetrack fender arch set is sold as a standalone component and does not require the sill extensions, spoilers or wheels to be fitted alongside it. Owners frequently take the arches first because they carry most of the visual change, then add the rest of the program later.

Are the arches supplied painted?

No. They ship in pre-primer and need prep and paint to your body color before fitting, so factor a body shop into the cost. Urban supplies them unpainted so the finish is matched to the panel beside them rather than to a factory shade that varies between build years.

Do the arches need different wheels or spacers to suit the extra width?

Not necessarily, but it is worth planning. The arches extend the profile 26mm per side and were developed around the offset of the Urban UC-6 collaboration with Vossen, so that wheel fills them as intended. A narrower factory offset will sit further inboard and use less of the added width.

Description

Urban Automotive Widetrack Fender Arch Set for L460 Land Rover Range Rover

Urban Automotive’s Widetrack Fender Arch Set for the L460 Land Rover Range Rover extends the body profile 26mm per side in PU-RIM, a polyurethane reaction injection molding process that produces a panel density and surface finish close enough to OEM plastic to hold body color paint without the cracking or fitment drift common to fiberglass. The arches were developed in-house around the offset of Urban’s UC-6 wheel collaboration with Vossen, so the proportions are deliberate rather than approximate. They follow the OEM plus design language of the rest of the Widetrack program, adding width and stance without reading as an aftermarket flare.

About Urban Automotive

Urban Automotive is a UK-based vehicle modification specialist founded in 2013 with a focus on luxury and performance SUVs. Built around an “OEM plus” design philosophy, the company develops and manufactures its own components in-house rather than reselling third-party parts, giving them direct control over design, tooling, material selection, and final finish. Their carbon fiber work is produced at their UK facility, and wheel collaborations series are finished by hand in Miami. The clientele is predominantly Range Rover, Defender, and G-Wagen focused, with each build configured individually rather than sold as a fixed kit off a shelf. Urban has become one of the more recognized names in the high-end SUV modification space, largely because the work tends to read as factory-coherent rather than aftermarket-obvious.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
