Trevora TR87 V2 Flat Mount Carbon Rear Wing for BMW Vehicles

The TR87 V2 is a departure from vehicle-specific rear wings. Rather than being engineered for a single platform, the flat-bottom aluminum leg design is purpose-built for any car with a flat rear boot lid surface, making the TR87 V2 applicable across a wide range of platforms including multiple BMW generations and any other vehicle whose trunk geometry meets this requirement. The flat-bottom leg profile is what distinguishes this wing from curved-lid applications; on a flat surface, the legs sit flush and transfer load evenly, which is a prerequisite for a properly functioning rear wing mounting regardless of the aerodynamic setting chosen. The three-position adjustable rake system is the defining performance feature of the TR87 V2. Road configuration reduces drag for daily use while providing moderate rear downforce at speed. Sport configuration steps up the angle for increased downforce on more spirited driving and track days where some drag penalty is acceptable. Is the TREVORA TR87 V2 wing compatible with my vehicle? The TR87 V2 is compatible with any vehicle featuring a flat rear boot lid surface. It is not compatible with curved or decklid-style trunk surfaces where the flat-bottom aluminum legs cannot sit flush. Listed BMW applications include the 1M E82, F87 M2 and M2 Competition, E30 / E36 / E46 / E90 / E92 M3, F80 M3, and F82 / F83 M4. Does installation require drilling through the boot lid? Yes. The TR87 V2 mounts via four fixing bolts through the rear boot lid surface, which requires drilling four holes. This is a permanent modification to the vehicle and cannot be reversed without repair to the boot lid. Professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure correct hole placement, even load distribution across all four fixing points, and proper torque at the leg hardware.
What are the three rake settings and when should each be used? The TR87 V2 offers three adjustable rake configurations. Road setting reduces the wing angle for daily driving, minimizing aerodynamic drag while providing moderate rear downforce at speed. Sport setting increases the angle for more pronounced downforce suited to spirited driving and track days where some additional drag is acceptable. Track setting maximizes the wing angle for the highest downforce output, suited to circuit use where aerodynamic balance is the priority. Adjustment is made at the aluminum leg mounts before final tightening and can be changed between settings by loosening and resetting the leg hardware.
Why does the TR87 V2 use flat-bottom aluminum legs rather than a standard leg design? Flat-bottom aluminum legs are required for correct mounting on a flat rear boot lid surface. On a flat surface, the leg base needs to sit fully flush to distribute the load of the wing evenly across the mounting points. Standard curved leg profiles designed for decklid-style trunks would not achieve flush contact on a flat lid, compromising both the mounting integrity and the aerodynamic performance of the wing.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest.
