TEIN Mono Sport Coilovers for S190 Lexus GS and S180 / S200 Toyota Crown

TEIN’s Mono Sport Coilovers for S190 Lexus GS were set up to cure two habits of the factory car: a ticking feel over rough pavement at low speed and a soft feel at highway speed. TEIN aimed for a European-style ride with control and comfort at any pace. Springs are 10.0 kgf/mm front and 8.0 rear. Owners wanting circuit hardware should note it is pitched at fast road driving.

The Crown Applications

The same kit covers three generations of Japanese-market Toyota Crown Athlete and Royal, from the 180 to the 210 series. These are not US cars, so check with BA before ordering for an import. On the Crown, TEIN configured the damping to reduce wobble, diagonal pitching and clatter over undulations and through corners, for a flatter ride.

About TEIN

TEIN was founded in Yokohama, Japan, in 1985 by former rally mechanic Hakaru Ichino, joined soon after by driver Yoshio Fujimoto. The team reached the World Rally Championship in 1989, and in 1995 Fujimoto won the Safari Rally in a Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, the first Japanese driver to do so.
